If so, we invite you to apply for the position of SEN Teaching Assistant at our vibrant primary school!

Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily support and development of students with Special Educational Needs. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to children with diverse needs.
  • Assisting the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Supporting the class teacher in creating an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Helping students with personal care and mobility, if required.
  • Promoting positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
  • Monitoring and recording students' progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to deliver the best possible care and education.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.

  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are a plus.

You will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau) and undergo due diligence checks on social media use.
