Page Personnel is exclusively supporting a returning customer with their recruitment of a Senior Payroll Officer to join their accountancy team on an ongoing temporary basis for approximately a couple of months. The role can be part time (ideally school hours) or full time and is based in the Cosham, Portsmouth office. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in covering the more strategic side of the payroll function.

Based in the Cosham area of Portsmouth, you will ideally drive to access the offices.
Description
As the Senior Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Manually inputting payroll information into the database
- End to end processing of monthly payroll for approx 500 staff
- Producing monthly payroll reports to share with senior management
- Ensuring all payroll related activities adhere to legislation
- P45, P60
- Submitting RTI to HMRC
- Using Excel for payroll related activities
- Manually calculating SSP, SMP etc.
Profile
In order to be considered for the Senior Payroll Officer role, you must:
- Have previously worked in a similar role and be able to demonstrate this
- Be immediately available or on very short notice
- Be able to work independently and also as part of a small team
- Have excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Be very confident with Excel and other software programmes
