Role and Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant through Academics, you will be placed in diverse educational settings where you will:
- Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional support
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students
- Prepare and organise educational materials and resources
- Assist in the grading and assessment of student work
- Support students with special needs or those requiring additional academic assistance
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- A passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting student success
- Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Relevant educational qualifications (e.g., associate's or bachelor's degree in education or a related field) are a plus
