Reed accountancy are currently working with a business who are looking for a finance assistant to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
They seeking an enthusiastic and engaged candidate to support our Accounts team. This role involves assisting the Financial Controller in all aspects of preparing and delivering accurate and timely accounting processes, meeting deadlines, and achieving targets. Additionally, you will support the junior accounts assistant with development and coaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate analytical ability and respond to data analysis
- Process new starters and leavers
- Manage weekly payrolls
- Record sick and holiday pay
- Reconcile statements
- Raise and complete purchase orders and manage cost trackers
- Post invoices onto Sage system
- Resolve any accounting queries
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Manage petty cash
- Assist in weekly forecasting for the business
- Assist in monthly preparation of the P&L.
- Assist in training of the wider team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
