Our client, a leading energy business are looking to hire an Interim Financial Accountant to join them for a 6-month period.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of timely and accurate monthly and statutory reporting. This includes, performing month-end tasks, driving the external regulatory reporting requirements and delivering various finance led efficiency projects.
The role offers hybrid working and requires you to spend time at the group's office in Hertfordshire in addition to their shareholder's offices based in Central London.
Key Responsibilities
- Posting and reconciliation of monthly management and statutory figures as reported to the Parent company and act as a contact point for the Shareholders who have queries regarding the group's performance
- IFRS based financial reporting for the seven Legal Entities: preparing and reviewing financial statements and supporting them with well-developed analytical reviews
- Review of the financial performance of the entities on a regular basis, including presenting results to Senior Leaders in Finance and wider business
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant with at least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong numerical ability and high attention to detail
- Extremely proactive and a general go-getter
- Confident in your communication and have the ability to represent the team in dealings with both internal and external stakeholders
