Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Learning: Assisting students in understanding instructions and schoolwork using techniques tailored to their needs.
  • Encouraging Independence: Helping students build confidence and independence in their learning and social interactions.
  • Behaviour Management: Assisting with managing student behaviour and providing a calm and clear communication environment.
  • Planning and Delivering Activities: Working with teachers to plan and deliver educational activities that cater to the unique needs of SEN students.
  • Providing Feedback: Offering feedback and assistance to teachers regarding student progress.
  • Creating an Engaging Environment: Developing a stimulating and supportive classroom environment tailored to the needs of the students.
  • These responsibilities require patience, adaptability, and a genuine concern for the well-being and development of the students.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Level 4 qualification as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience working with SEN learners in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to the educational and personal development of children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
