Senior Care Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to join our home extra care scheme for individuals aged 55 and over. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for providing exceptional care and support to our residents. The successful candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Health and Care and be registered with the HCPC.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide high-quality care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Monitor the health and wellbeing of residents and report any changes to the relevant healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents that occur.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to resident care.
- Supervise junior staff and provide guidance and support to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Ensure the safe control and administration of medication in line with policy and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Care.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a supervisory role within a care setting.
- Experience in the control and administration of medication.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
