Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Entrepreneur in Residence to join their award-winning Inclusive Ventures Group. This role offers the unique opportunity to work within an in-house accelerator for early-stage tech and tech-enabled companies led by women and multicultural entrepreneurs. The successful candidate will be a consistent advisor, content and network resource for the entrepreneurs participating in the Lab. What you'll do:
As an Entrepreneur in Residence, you will play a pivotal role within our client's Inclusive Ventures Lab. You will be involved in every aspect of the Lab's operations, from participating in company vetting and selection processes, to providing valuable input on content and curriculum. Your expertise will be crucial in driving strategic planning and managing milestones for cohort companies. You will also have the opportunity to leverage your personal network to bring in guest speakers, adding further value to the programme. Your commitment to fostering inclusivity within the tech industry will shine through as you lead weekly meetings, coordinate working group sessions, and provide ongoing support and guidance to founders.
- Participate in company vetting and selection alongside the Lab's team and Investment Committee
- Provide input on content and curriculum for the Lab
- Leverage your personal network to identify potential guest speakers
- Drive strategic planning and milestone management for cohort companies
- Lead weekly meetings with cohort companies for regular updates
- Coordinate and host informal office hours and smaller working group sessions as needed
- Attend each formal in-person learning experience for the duration of each of the cohort's programming
- Provide regular feedback to Lab internal team on updates to planned curriculum
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Entrepreneur in Residence position brings a wealth of experience from either a start-up or investment environment. With at least 10 years under your belt, you are well-versed in navigating fast-paced environments and are ready to apply your skills to our client's dynamic setting. Your strong networking skills will be invaluable in identifying potential guest speakers and providing connections for the programme. Your experience with strategic planning, financial modelling, and fundraising strategies will equip you to provide comprehensive support and guidance to founders.
- Educated to degree level
- Minimum of 10 years experience working within a start-up company/start-up environment or an investment environment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong networking skills with ability to leverage personal connections for the benefit of the programme
- Experience with strategic planning and financial modelling
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies including investor research, pitch preparation, term sheet negotiations
