I am excited to partner with a leading global entertainment company to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Part Qualified Financial Accountant. This developmental role is ideal for individuals currently pursuing their ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications. It offers study support, and the opportunity to advance your career in finance. The successful candidate will manage a range of accounting activities, including month-end processes, bank reconciliations, and the maintenance of precise financial records. This role is office-based, with excellent access to public transport, and includes comprehensive support and training to foster professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue and Banking Journals: Collaborate with site managers to ensure the precision of their reporting information. This includes resolving any discrepancies and meticulously posting revenue and banking figures to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Cash Bank Reconciliation: Execute the main cash bank reconciliation with punctuality each month, ensuring all financial activities are accurately captured and reported.
  • Cash Reconciliations: Manage comprehensive cash reconciliations derived from site reporting. This involves identifying and resolving any issues promptly to maintain seamless financial operations.
  • Asset Register Maintenance: Maintain a detailed electronic register of all assets. Coordinate with the operations team to process asset additions and disposals monthly, post depreciation, and reconcile the asset register with the monthly accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Balance Sheet Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts. This includes the responsibility for posting other month-end journals to ensure financial integrity.
  • Support for New Sites: Provide essential support and assistance with financial reporting during the establishment of new sites, ensuring a smooth transition and setup.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to support the broader finance team's needs.

Person Specification:

  • Proactive willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including debits, credits, and control accounts.
  • Effective teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Personable and capable of dealing with operations staff in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of accuracy required for posting journals, reconciling accounts, and managing site information.
  • Intermediate Excel skills: experience with Kopen is useful but not essential.
