Depot Supervisor

We are looking for a Depot Supervisor to oversee daily operations, manage a team, and ensure operational efficiency at our clients' depot in St Albans. The successful candidate will have a strong background depot management or logistics, with a focus on maintaining high standards of health and safety, inventory control, and customer service.
Day to Day of the role:
- Team Management of the small depot team
- Operations Coordination - oversee day to day
- Coordinate logistics for accurate distribution of products.
- Inventory Control - manage stock levels utilising depot management software.
- H&S compliance and regulations
- Conduct safety checks and risk assessments.
- Maintenance oversight - supervise maintenance of depot vehicles/equipment
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on stock, deliveries and depot
- Customer service, addressing issues or queries promptly.
- Provide training and development for depot staff
- Process Improvement
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in depot management, logistics, or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Good understanding of logistics, inventory control, and depot operations.
- Knowledge of H&S regulations.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in depot management software and IT systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Valid forklift truck license and understanding of safety regulations for forklift operation.

Additional Requirements:
- Ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate to St Albans before starting work.
- Valid Forklift License.
