Interim FP&A Analyst (FTC)

Our client is a PE backed FMCG business on a steep upward growth. In order to cover a maternity leave they need an FP&A analyst for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC). The key focus of the role being to provide the Senior Leadership team, in particular those in Sales and Supply Chain, high quality, accurate, actionable insight and forecasting. In doing this the role will help drive business performance and help find opportunities to drive profitable growth.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of FP&A with the production of the monthly leadership team finance report;
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to provide timely insight to Head of FP&A to be reported in the monthly board pack;
  • Be the Super User of Microsoft Power BI managing ongoing reports and developing new ones in accordance with business needs;
  • Business partner for our distribution cost centres, including working with the finance time to ensure costs for this division are accounted for accurately, as well as budgeting and forecasting providing insight and challenge where required;
  • Aid in the development and reporting on financials and operational KPIs, including weekly flash updates and monthly Board reports in accordance with the business strategy
  • Business partnering support to the sales and overhead teams - to provide accurate, clear and timely financial information, accompanied by value added insight and analysis to inform decision making, as well as identifying cost savings
  • Maintain departmental structures & make changes as required on Navision
  • Support the Head of FP&A and channel heads with in-depth ad hoc analysis
