Grafton Banks Finance are excited to be supporting a growing, commercial business in central Eastbourne. Our client is looking to bring on an Accounts Payable Assistant on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis. Reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager, this role will be a range of accounts payable and finance administration duties.
- Processing supplier payment runs on a timely basis
- Reconciling supplier statements, resolving any issues and escalating where appropriate.
- Checking and reconciliating inter-company balances around month end.
- Maintaining and controlling all aspects of accounts payable/purchase ledger
- Reviewing the ledger, ensuring its regularly updated.
- Continuously reviewing and updating accounts payable processes and procedures
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Providing support across the finance department
Experience required for this role:
- Prior experience withing within a fast-paced accounts payable/purchase ledger role.
- Exposure to using ERP accounting systems
- Strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, sumifs etc.)
- Strong communication skills
- Available on immediate notice
- Ability to commute to office on a daily basis (no hybrid working).
