LOCATION: Heanor (DE75)

CONTRACT: 13 Months (Maternity cover)

Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced QA Team Leader to join the business on a 13 month contract to cover a maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity to join a group of companies that has some the UK's most well known brands in the food industry.

Job Description

Role Overview: You will provide support and direction to the operations team to enable the site to meet food safety and quality requirements in the most effective and efficient way. You will be supporting the business in driving continuous improvement and managing our greatest risks by challenging and validating our systems and processes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a collaborative approach to managing food safety and quality between the QA team and Operations promoting cross functional working to make food safety and quality everyone's responsibility
  • Handling customer interactions, audits, and complaints effectively and with professionalism
  • Support the Technical Manager to ensure effective measuring, trending and reporting against KPI's
  • Ensure CCP checks and challenges in line with HACCP and customer requirements
  • Setting clear standards and expectations for the quality team and ensuring that best in class aspirations and a continuous improvement mentality becomes part of the team's culture

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Health & safety.
  • Food safety and HACCP.
  • Auditing.
  • Management experience (2yrs) in a QA/production environment.
  • Experience in equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Numeracy/data accuracy.
  • Prioritising and decision making.
  • Communication Skills - written and verbal.
  • Continuous improvement and problem solving.
  • Training & development.
  • Computer literate (e-mail, Basic Microsoft Excel, Basic Microsoft Word, Amazon).
