We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our client's practice. This role is ideal for a professional who is either Qualified/Part Qualified/QBE (Qualified By Experience) and possesses the ability to assist staff, review a variety of financial work, and support management. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for excellence and integrity.
**Day to day of the role:
- Reviewing financial documents, including accounts, VAT returns, and tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assisting junior staff by providing guidance and support with their tasks and ensuring the quality of their work meets the practice's standards.
- Collaborating with management to develop and implement financial strategies and provide recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Preparing financial reports and statements for management review.
- Ensuring that all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
- Identifying areas for financial improvement and implementing best practices across the practice.
- Assisting with the training and development of junior staff members.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accountant within a practice environment.
- Qualified By Experience (QBE) in accountancy.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to review and understand complex financial information.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and assist staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering results.
