The Burford Recruitment Company are proudly working on behalf of a private client located near Eynsham, Oxfordshire.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join the team on their beautiful private estate. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a stunning outdoor environment, maintaining and enhancing the estate's extensive grounds alongside one other experienced Gardener.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lawn Care: Maintain and manage extensive lawns, ensuring they are kept to a high standard.
- Walled Garden: Oversee the care and development of the walled garden, including planting, pruning, and general maintenance.
- Kitchen Garden: Manage the kitchen garden, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
- Orchards: Look after the estate's orchards, which include a variety of fruit and nut trees, ensuring they are healthy and productive.
- General Maintenance: Perform a variety of horticultural tasks, including weeding, watering, mulching, and pest control.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in gardening or horticulture.
- Strong knowledge of plant care, garden maintenance, and landscaping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness, with the ability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility in start and finish times, with a willingness to adapt to the needs of the estate.
