Senior Income Officer

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Senior Income Officer for a Housing Association based in Greater Manchester. This is a permanent position, paying £39,000 per annum, and will require office attendance 1-2 times per week.

The role:

  • To manage the delivery of a customer-focused, efficient and effective income collection service to a high quality customer experience
  • Ensure tenancy sustainability through the effective management of arrears cases through timely and effective interventions that prevent arrears accruing
  • Provide appropriate support to vulnerable residents by providing advice and support on welfare benefits, financial inclusion and property condition or by signposting to other appropriate services
  • Manage a team of Rent Officers and Rent Assistants in all aspects of performance and take responsibility for the team's achievement of targets, objectives and value for money
  • Support the Head of Income / Income Team Leader with the development of policies, procedures, strategies and initiatives in respect of all aspects of income management, including rent, service charges, shared ownership rent and leaseholder charges

What you need:

  • Experience of managing a team delivering Income Recovery for tenants in a social housing environment
  • Up to date knowledge and current legislation and the regulatory framework in relation to possession proceedings for rent arrears and recovery of other debts
