About the Role:Hays are seeking a highly skilled Interim Financial Accountant to join a dynamic engineering company based in Redruth, Cornwall. This is a full-time role with hybrid working options, offering flexibility and a competitive daily rate of £200 - £240. The initial contract is for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably in the engineering sector
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
