Our client, a leading and long-established Insurance Business in Leicestershire, is looking for an Interim Finance Director (starting approx. August/September) to support the company through the next exciting phase of its growth journey. This business has a long history of success in its sector that has been underpinned by the development of a broad service offering which continues to grow. Due to this continued growth, there is a need to appoint an experienced FD to support and guide the business through this next period of exciting change.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations
- Maintain and improve strong finance governance and financial control environment
- Challenge commercial business areas to maximise opportunities and ensure accountability
- Provide commercial & strategic support and decision-making across the business especially looking at new areas of growth
- Ensure the finance reporting is best in class, fully compliant and provides meaningful commentary for senior management
- Continued development of a newly implemented IT System
Experience Includes:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Experience in insurance preferred but not essential
- Technically very strong but also strong commercial awareness
- Of an inquisitive nature to ensure you can identify areas of improvement and offer solutions
- Confident and clear communicator with an ability to support senior management
- Thrives in an environment of change
- Strong IT skills - experience with Workday system a distinct advantage
