External Account Manager

Elevation are thrilled to be working with a leading safety equipment supplier to recruit an External Account Manager.
Your primary role is to deliver exceptional sales and profit performance by identifying and building new business opportunities within a designated territory, all while efficiently managing existing accounts. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in achieving our organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts within the sales territory
- Identify and pursue new business prospects through various channels, including research, cold calling, direct referrals, and LinkedIn outreach
- Follow up on sales leads provided by the Sales Manager or generated through marketing campaigns
- Manage an opportunity pipeline process to create and develop new business opportunities
- Negotiate commercial terms within set guidelines to ensure mutually beneficial agreements
- Provide product support to new and existing customers and collaborate with Sales and Marketing for external marketing support
- Supply accurate information to the Customer Services department regarding customer quotations, orders, and service-related requirements
Key Attributes, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of field sales experience
- Demonstrated track record of delivering high-performance results
- Strong organisational and time management skills

- In-depth market awareness and product knowledge
- Proficient negotiation skills
- Ability to establish trust and build strong relationships
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and effective questioning
