Reed Education is seeking a dedicated science teacher in partnership with a well-respected SEN trust. This role is ideal for an experienced instructor with a passion for supporting young people with Educational Health Care Plans and additional needs. If you are committed to helping pupils with behavioural, emotional, learning, and social communication difficulties achieve their full potential, we would love to hear from you.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Delivering high-quality science education to pupils with special educational needs and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Creating and implementing individualised learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Motivating and inspiring pupils to engage with science and achieve high standards.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, specialist agencies, and community partners to enhance the educational experience of our students.
  • Contributing to the development of the school's curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to further enhance teaching skills and SEN expertise.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience as a Science Teacher, preferably within an SEN setting.
  • Strong commitment to supporting students with additional needs.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
  • A collaborative spirit, able to work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
  • A passion for inclusive education and the values of Love, Flourishing, Community, and Social Justice.
