Job Title: Intensive Tenancy Support Officer

Location: East London

Contract Details: Temporary, Full Time

Salary: £ 17.54 - £ 21.72 per hour

An East London Borough Council, dedicated to providing early intervention and ongoing support to individuals with multiple and complex needs. They are committed to preventing individuals from returning to rough sleeping following discharge from hospital. With a focus on delivering high-quality services, our client supports clients with complex needs who are housed in accommodation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with complex needs to sustain their quality of life and prevent rough sleeping.
  • Develop personalised support plans and collaborate with various support agencies.
  • Provide advice and support on housing, welfare rights, personal finance, hoarding, tenancy management, mediation, life skills, and personal independence.
  • Act as the principal point of contact for casework within the accommodation.
  • Coordinate solutions for drug and alcohol, domestic violence, and mental health issues.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience working with rough sleepers or individuals with complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of issues related to substance misuse, physical and mental health.
  • Ability to handle complex casework face-to-face and in writing.
  • Knowledge of tenancy and housing advice.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience in providing intensive support to vulnerable individuals.
  • Knowledge of local support networks and services.

Technologies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant database systems.
