IT Support Engineer Apprentice

Overview:

We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.

Purpose of the Role:

To deliver high quality technical support and IT assistance across all areas of the business, thereby allowing end users to fully benefit from operating technically sound and issue free technology.

Duties:

Value Added / Impact:

  • Enable communication internally and externally via telephone, email, and software.
  • Ensure employees have technology that meets business needs to add value.
  • Implement robust IT and Infrastructure processes and procedures.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support and excellent customer service.
  • Administer the IT service desk and triage tickets.
  • Manage the mobile fleet and support remote workers.
  • Support software across the business and maintain the asset register.
  • Prioritize and address Service Desk Tickets, order equipment, set up and configure laptops/desktops, and install authorized software.

Key skills, knowledge & experience:

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Desktop Technologies and applications
  • Able to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Qualification in a Computing related field or able to demonstrate relevant experience

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Annual Salary:

  • Age 21+ £20,820.08
