An exciting opportunity has emerged for a highly experienced Procurement Manager to join a rapidly growing and leading manufacturing organisation, with a permanent position based in Staverton, Cheltenham. This position is looking to offer £68,000.
This is an ideal role for an experienced procurement professional with a proven track record of managing teams and driving success in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Role responsibilities of the Procurement Manager include:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the procurement team to achieve key business results
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure business success
- Develop, maintain and improve strategic supplier relationships with key suppliers
- Realign supplier delivery schedules for customer demand
- Manage negotiations with suppliers on prices, contracts and conditions
- Identify potential areas of improvement and recommend solutions to drive improvement
Person Specification of the Procurement Manager:
- Experience working in a procurement position within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Several years of successful managerial experience
- Demonstrable ability to motivate, influence and negotiate
- Proficiency in Microsoft suites
- MCIPS/CIPS preferred
