Job Role: Credit Controller
Location: Barrow Upon Humber

Axi Recruitment is working with an established large-scale business in North Lincolnshire for a Credit Controller to join their finance function. The successful candidate will have experience in a credit control environment and be comfortable dealing with all elements of the role including sales ledger, chasing debtors, credit reporting, and setting up new customer accounts into the system.
Job Details
- Control the sales ledger system to ensure it runs effectively.
- Daily monitoring of internal accounts and credit limits.
- Assist with setting up new customer accounts on the Kerridge system.
- Run credit reports for uplifts, new accounts and review credit limits.
- Post daily bank payment and allocate payments as needed.
- Chase overdue balances and escalate debt as required to the relevant senior manager.
- Send accounts for further debt collection as needed.
- Send small debts to the small claims court as required.
- Deal with customer payment queries.
- Assist with sales ledger and credit control functions, and control the month end procedure.
- Daily support to the Credit Manager.
Experience
- Experience working with a busy multi-branch ledger.
- Experience of with computer software including Excel and Kerridge.
- Knowledge of insured debt, insurance claims, and small claims court.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be motivated, pro-active, and responsible.
