Our client is a global business in the manufacturing sector and they now have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Accountant to join their friendly team in Huntingdon.
The role will have a commercial bias and will be heavily involved in business partnering with the manufacturing team and working with senior stakeholders.
The role will be varied and duties will include;
Assisting with month-end close
Monthly commentary and explanations of variances
Producing monthly manufacturing reports
Raw material stock counts and reconciliation
Putting in place a standard costing process and working and working with relevant factory and supply chain personnel
Working closely with stakeholders to add value to their understanding of finance and how it can benefit the business as a whole
Ad hoc project work
This role will suit someone who has experience working in the manufacturing sector and enjoys interacting with non-finance personnel.
Experience working with ERP systems would be a distinct advantage and strong understanding of Excel is essential.
The successful candidate must be fully qualified and have experience in a similar role.
