Elevation Recruitment Group are searching for a Buyer to join a Wholesale business based in Huddersfield. This role will require you to manage supplier relationships, foster strong internal and external partnerships, and balance business and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet Supply Chain KPIs
- Address and resolve stock shortages and availability issues
- Stay informed about market trends and quickly respond to changes in demand
- Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders
- Oversee supplier relationships and conduct quarterly business reviews
- Place and manage outgoing purchase orders
- Maintain supplier open order books
- Understand supplier capabilities, capacities, and priorities, and develop contingency plans when necessary
- Conduct supplier analysis, reporting, and forecasting
- Negotiate pricing, rebates, and payment terms
- Track and facilitate supplier rebates
- Maintain purchasing contracts and agreements
- Promptly respond to internal stock requests
- Maintain delivery cost records
- Manage master data, such as commodity codes and country of origin
