Shift: Mornings & Afternoons
Salary: £29,752.05 + 12.5% shift allowance = £33,471.05
Location: Sheffield
Key Responsibilities:
- Forming sheet metal
- Working with exotic metals
- Fitting materials according to strict safety, quality, and work guidelines
- Using hand and air-powered tools, including riveting, drilling, and planishing
- Ensuring products meet precise tolerances
- Performing regular maintenance checks on machines and equipment
- Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
- Collaborating effectively with co-workers to ensure smooth workflow
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Comfortable with physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting
- Aerospace industry experience is desirable
- Basic knowledge of lean principles (5S)
- Experience working to production targets
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Comfortable working in environments with noise, dust, grime, and heat
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
