I am delighted to be recruiting exclusively for a Finance Business Partner to lead the management accounts function for my client. This role is pivotal in providing accurate and timely financial information to the respective management teams and Hellmann Group Finance in Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts, supporting the CFO/Financial Controller in presenting results, and assisting in the production of annual budgets and statutory accounts.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts for the UK and Ireland, ensuring timely submission to Hellmann Group Finance.
- Support the CFO/Financial Controller in presenting monthly results to the Management team.
- Prepare P&L forecasts and assist in the production of annual budgets.
- Liaise with the Financial Accountant to ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
- Maintain detailed workings to support overhead accruals and assist in the year-end audit review process.
- Maintain the integrity of the accounts software and associated TMS's master data.
- Support ad-hoc projects to improve processes or reduce costs within Hellmann UK/Ireland.
- Maintain the UK and Ireland reporting structure in the Mercur Reporting Tool.
- Assist operational managers with financial/statistical data analysis for their areas of responsibility.
- Provide Mercur training to users and coordinate with Hellmann Group for user account management.
- Ensure month-end cut-off is aligned and the expected monthly result is understood ahead of final reporting.
- Coordinate input of monthly statistical data into Mercur, including energy and sustainability data and investment reports.
- Prepare National Statistics Returns as required.
- Travel to other UK sites to support and business partner accordingly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar finance role, ideally within logistics or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of management accounts, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in using financial software and TMS systems.
- Ability to liaise with and support operational managers in understanding their financial data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Willingness to travel to other UK sites as required.
