HR Manager

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is hiring on behalf of their client for a HR Manager to work in **Taunton, Somerset.**Our client is a reputable law firm based in Taunton, committed to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. They are looking for a professional and friendly standalone HR Manager to join their team. Travel to some other offices in Somerset will be required once per month.

Working Hours: Full-time, 9.00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Salary: £30,000 per annum + ongoing reviews and rising salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all personnel comply with company policies. Assisting the Compliance Manager in maintaining the policies and procedures in the Office Manual specific to Human Resources. To undertake all aspects of Human Resources with the required skills and knowledge to carry out your duties, including maintaining the personnel records & managing personnel tasks across the firm.
  • HR admin: Ensuring contract, new starter details and right to works are completed, updated and filed correctly complying with GDPR. Ensuring all updated documentation is kept up to date with colleagues and put on their respective file.
  • Updating policies and procedures when necessary.
  • Manage the diversity and equality values withing the company.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships to encourage retention.
  • Maternity and Paternity management, inc Risk Assessments.
  • Assessing the need for training, implementing training programs and support in the developing the employee.
  • Managing the company's appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings.
  • Monitoring employee's performance, such as attendance, probations, sickness and holidays.
  • Handling any disciplinary and formal grievances.
  • Working with the IT Manager, regarding new starters, DSE, new platforms etc.
  • Overseeing recruitment, selection, marketing, the onboard process, probation and retention. Identifying staff needs and managing the creation of job descriptions.

  • Using a variety of software including our case management system and the Office 365 suite, to produce correspondence, documents, presentations, records and accounts.
  • Providing advice and direction to all employees when needed.
