Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join our team in Salisbury. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with diverse abilities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs in a classroom setting.
- Assist in the implementation of Individualised Education Programs under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to address the unique needs of each student.
- Support students with daily activities, including personal care if required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs is preferred but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in special education or a related field are desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the learning and development of students with special needs.
Requirements:
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Happy to support children with learning difficulties or disabilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
- Valid DBS registered with the online update service or willing to apply for a new one.
- Previous experience supporting children and young people in a school or care setting.
