Earnings capacity in excess of £50,000.00 p/a achievable
Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern based on 2 days/2 nights 4 off
THE ROLE:
Undertake general maintenance, operational checks and repair on the Businesses busy fleet of Freight Locomotives
You will put your dual skills to good use in undertaking electrical checks and testing, fault diagnosis and rectification whilst supporting the mechanical Tech's during less busy periods in the general maintenance and pre use checks of the Locomotive

Shifts are based on a 7 till 7 basis and an average 39 hour week over the course of the year
In addition to the excellent salary the business promote self learning and incentivise this process with learning modules where you are paid for each of 10 modules achieved. In addition, overtime is paid at x1.25 Monday to Saturday and x1.5 for Sundays

IDEAL CANDIDATES:
Evidently, should you come from a Rail/Rolling Stock background that would be ideal but we use the phrase attitude over aptitude, so those with a good technical foundation and the right attitude, the business are prepared to train and mentor.
We would love to hear from Technically adept candidates from any of the following but not exclusive backgrounds, Armed Forces, PSV, HGV, Agricultural, Avionics, Automotive/Auto electrics etc
You will be able to competently use a multi meter and be able to work from and interpret wiring diagrams and other technical instruction.
The role is very much hands on
MUST HAVE / NICE TO HAVE:
You will:
Live within a max of 1 hours commute from Leeds
Hold a Technical NVQ at Level 3 or better
Be able to pass a Network Rail related Medical and Drugs and Alcohol Check
Nice to have:
Excellent senses of humour
Hold a full driving license
Great attitude to work
A full appreciation to Health and Safety at Work
