Position:Maths and English Tutor
Location: Barking & Dagenham, London
Type:Part-Time/Full-Time
Salary Scale: £100-£200 per day (Fully qualified Teachers £150+)
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths and English Tutor for one of its client schools located in Barking & Dagenham. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and is committed to helping students achieve academic success in Maths and English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions in Maths and English to students of varying abilities.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the individual learning needs of students.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and teachers.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and ensure that all students are engaged.
- Assist students in developing strong study habits and exam preparation techniques.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to align tutoring sessions with the school curriculum.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, particularly those related to safeguarding and child protection.
Desirables:
- Must be able to teach English and Maths
- Must be able to work with students with a range of needs including ASD, SEMH and more
- Must be available to teach Monday to Friday, from 8.30am-4pm
Document Requirements:
- Right to Work in the UK: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate: Must hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through GSL Education.
- References: Provide two professional child-related references.
- Updated CV: A detailed CV covering work and academic details for the past 10 years.
- Safeguarding and Child Protection:Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
