Management Accountant | Medway | £40k
Our client, an established, growing and fast paced business is seeking to appoint a driven Management Accountant to their busy finance team of 10 people, based full time in their Gillingham office.
The business started in 2009 and as of 2019 it has been a private equity backed business with more acquisitions planned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accountants to group deadlines.
- Completion of variance analysis and commentary versus budget for overheads.
- Assist the FC with commentary to support the financial result.
- Prepare the quarterly VAT returns for Senseco & FSHL.
- Supporting the external Audit process, fulfilling auditor queries.
- Identifying areas for development within financial reporting across the business.
- Support and contribute to improvements within the department.
- Balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the chart of accounts, including ensuring a consistent approach to new nominal codes.
- Provide accurate, timely and relevant information to support business information needs as required.
- Ad hoc duties when required.
Skill Requirements:
- Qualified or newly qualified accountant.
- Advanced Excel.
- Experience with Sage.
- Multi-site or service industry background.
- Ability to work with high volumes of data.
- Organisational and time management to meet deadlines.
