Are you an energetic, creative and organised individual with a passion for event planning and team management?

We are looking for an experienced Sales & Events Manager to oversee our event management function, including both internal and external events.

You will be responsible for developing, implementation and maintaining sales strategies with the aim of maximising revenue targets and driving innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Oversee event management operations (including catering costs, invoicing details, itinerary, room set up, entertainment, AV etc.)
  • Securing business through multi-channel approach, including; cold calling, social media, email, face-to-face, attending events and networking events
  • Generate proposals for clients with the aim of converting enquiries to bookings
  • Manage daily café/restaurant and events team
  • Plan, organise, and coordinate events within budgets and time constraints
  • Develop and implement an events diary, social media strategy, and business plans
  • Manage team rotas and payroll
  • Build strong vendor relationships and negotiate accordingly
  • Regularly meet and coordinate with clients
  • Oversee all event operations from enquiry to billing
  • Track event expenses
  • Supervise event preparation
  • Analyse event results
  • Manage invoicing for vendors and customers
  • Adhere to food, health, and safety standards
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience and handle customer complaints patiently
  • Manage daily cash handling of the outlets

Requirements:

  • 2/3 years of experience as a Sales & Events Manager or a similar role
  • Think creatively and generate new ideas to grow the business and enhance revenue and profitability
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Portfolio of successful events
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with good time-management and organisational skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • BA in hospitality management, public relations, or a similar relevant field desirable
