About our client & role

We are pleased to be working with a client who is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our their adult care home, which supports six residents with mixed learning and physical disabilities.

The successful candidate will work closely with the existing Team Leader, taking a hands-on approach to promote independence, provide personal care where needed, and ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.

Essential experience required as a Registered Manager

  • Three years of dedicated experience as a CQC Registered Manager in an adult residential care home setting.
  • Successfully steered CQC inspections to achieve 'Good' or 'Outstanding' ratings.
  • Well-versed in CQC regulations, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Proficient in managing Human Resource matters with a focus on team efficiency and morale.
  • Extensive experience in fostering collaboration across various agencies.
  • Competent in overseeing and managing local budgets to ensure financial stability.
  • Experienced in implementing services aligned with the CQC's 'Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture' guidelines.

Your responsibilities as a Registered Manager

Day-to-Day Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the adult residential care home.
  • Ensure the delivery of dignified, high-quality care in line with CQC standards and relevant legislation.

Staff Management:

  • Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage by qualified personnel.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and performance management to staff.
  • Coordinate staff training and professional development.

Financial and Administrative Management:

  • Monitor and manage the local budget effectively.
  • Ensure accurate recording of care and compliance with legal requirements.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Lead the staff team by providing clear instructions and setting expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including residents, their families, staff, and external health and social care professionals.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with the Health & Social Care Act 2008 and other relevant regulations.
  • Stay updated with best practices in social care and apply this knowledge.

Quality Assurance and Governance:

  • Coordinate governance activities and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of care.
  • Conduct assessments for prospective residents and facilitate their integration into the care home.

Confidentiality and Ethics:

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding residents, their families, and staff.
  • Uphold the values, mission, and vision of AFG, and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in on-call duties as required.
  • Promote social and environmental responsibility within the organisation.
  • Encourage the use of technology to enhance service delivery.
  • Foster professional relationships and contribute to the overall development of the service.
