Credit Controller

- Job Type: Temporary, Full-time, 1 Month Duration
- Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join our client's counts team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will ensure a proactive approach to collecting outstanding debt to meet collection targets. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health of our business and requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Maintain accurate records of chasing activities and payment promises.
- Follow guidance from the team leader to effectively address issues.
- Assist with the workload of other team members as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement in reducing the number of days debts remain overdue.
- Manage and monitor new customer account setups, including setting and controlling credit limits.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues.
- Escalate issues in a timely manner where appropriate.
- Collaborate with operational teams across the Group.
- Assist managers with ad hoc projects as needed.
- Present and communicate key information to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Provide cover and support across other Finance Assistant roles when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy.
