A leading force in the UK transport industry for an impressive 78 years, our client is a family-run business employing over 700 dedicated individuals. They pride themselves on their heritage and commitment to excellence, and they're looking for a skilled and reliable administrator to join their team.
This is a night shift position requiring work from Monday to Friday, 8:30 pm to 7:00 am.
As a Night Transport Administrator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's overnight logistics. You'll leverage your tech skills, communication abilities, and organizational talents to keep everything on track.
Key Responsibilities of a Transport Administrator:
- Utilise transport management software (Mandata TMS a plus) to coordinate and dispatch deliveries to meet tight deadlines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date transport documentation, demonstrating proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and warehouse personnel via phone and email.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise and maintain a positive and proactive approach.
- Ensure compliance with driver's regulations for planning of hours.
What You'll Bring:
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong teamwork mentality with clear communication skills.
- Proficiency in using computers, including Excel and Word.
- GCSE Standard education or equivalent.
- The ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
- Prior knowledge of Mandata TMS and driver's regulations (both beneficial but not essential).
- Experience working nights is a plus.
