Prospero Teaching are seeking individuals to work as cover supervisors in an Ofsted outstanding school on a full-time or part time basis. As a cover supervisor you will be required to monitor the class in the absence of the teacher (Taking the register, handing out the task, managing behaviour). Strong behaviour management + SEN experience is desired for this role, however, no teaching requirements are specifically required!

Prospero Teaching work with both inexperienced cover supervisors and experienced cover supervisors! You will be covering diverse year groups from KS3-KS4 and across various subject areas! A great position for someone with casual availability, or someone who has future desires to become a teacher!

COVER SUPERVISOR ROLE SPECIFICS:

  • Supervising the classroom in the absence of the teacher and managing student behaviour
  • Ensuring all students are engaged with the lesson material
  • Taking individualised approaches with students to ensure trust
  • Collaborating and supporting other staff members
  • Assigning and collecting assignments
  • Maintain organisation for when the class teacher returns
  • Completing the register

COVER SUPERVISOR CONTRACT DETAILS:

  • Location - Ware
  • Position - Cover Supervisors
  • Start date - September 2024
  • Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP90 per day
  • Hours - 8:00am - 4pm (full day)

COVER SUPERVISOR EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree or A Levels or GCSE (Math and English above C)
  • Previous experience working in a UK school desired
  • Previous experience working with SEN desires
  • Up to date Safeguarding training and prevent training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS COVER SUPERVISOR ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two year
