Position: Teaching Assistant (Reception Class)
Location: South Sheffield Primary School
Start Date: September 2nd, 2024
Contract: Fixed Term (One Academic Year)
Hours: Full Time, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our Reception / Foundation Stage class. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher in daily activities, providing one-on-one support to students, and undertaking phonics intervention sessions for children who need additional help.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Level 2 TA qualification or higher
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a passion for working with young children
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
- Commitment: Ability to work full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher in daily classroom activities
- Assisting with planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Conducting phonics intervention sessions for children tracking behind
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Helping with the preparation of classroom materials
- Supervising children during break times and outings
- Monitoring and recording student progress
