Programme Manager – 6-month contract

My Customer is looking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Programme Manager to lead and manage multiple complex large-scale projects simultaneously. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a transformative environment, where business restructure and strategic change are at the forefront of their operations.

As the Programme Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of complex business transformation projects, including divestments, demergers, and restructuring efforts. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution across these initiatives while managing a team of Project Managers to drive results. Your experience in handling divestitures, large-scale organizational changes, and operational streamlining will be crucial to ensuring the success of the programme. Projects include: Data, Infrastructure and EUC.

Primary day to day responsibilities for the Programme Manager will include:

  • Programme Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple large restructuring and divestment projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Business Restructuring (Demerger): Lead and support organizational change initiatives such as mergers, demergers, private equity transitions, and streamlining of business operations.
  • Business Transformation: Spearhead projects related to divestments, demergers, and business restructuring, ensuring efficient separation or realignment of business units while minimizing disruption
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the key point of contact for senior leadership, investors, and stakeholders, clearly communicating project goals, challenges, and outcomes related to restructuring activities.
  • Change Management: Ensure effective change management strategies are in place to support staff and teams through periods of transition, helping the business adapt to new structures, ownership, and operational models.
  • Driving deadlines and ensuring projects are being delivered at acceptable timelines.
  • Ideally an assertive individual that is confident in leading complex transformation projects.

The Programme Manager would be required to be onsite on an ad hoc basis in Birmingham.
