Meraki Talent are delighted to be engaged on the role of a Management Accountant for a market leading and well-respected business based in Glasgow.
The Role:
This role is best suited to a Part-Qualified Accountant looking to complete their professional qualification with experience in management accounts and has strong analytical and interpersonal skills
.
You will be involved in the following duties:
- Prepare monthly management accounts for key business areas
- Ensure all month-end tasks are completed according to the agreed schedule and meet relevant deadlines
- Collaborate with internal business functions and commercial colleagues to build variance analysis of delivery against budgets
- Develop an understanding of the key operational drivers within key contracts
- Play a key role in the annual budget process
- Maintain control over balance sheet accounts
- Generate weekly and monthly reporting, progressively enhancing capabilities in Power BI
- Assist with ad-hoc/project work as required by the team
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a finance environment is required
- Ideally studying for a professional accountancy qualification (support provided)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software's
- Good IT skills, particularly in relevant systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines
