It is an exciting time to join this business as they undergo a period of change and some exciting growth. Based in Durham this accountancy firm are looking to appoint an Audit and Accounts Manager to support the Partner group.
Either qualified (ACA/ACCA) or by experience you will undertake a leadership role within the practice supporting the team (alongside other Managers) with the day to day delivery of both audit and accounting services to a portfolio of clients. Working with both private clients as well as those in the not for profit sector you will be exposed to a variety of industries and no day will be the same.
Your role will include the planning of assignments, managing a portfolio, statutory accounting, review work, budgets, billing and, training and development of others in the team.
We are looking for a professional accountant with a minimum of 3-4 years UK experience working in an accounting practice. Perhaps a Senior or Supervisor ready for your first Manager position.
As well as both audit and accounting experience those holding some basic tax knowledge and general practice accounting would be very advantageous as you provide regular daily advice to your clients.
You will be familiar with the use of accounting software such as Sage, Xero and Quickbooks and be able to adapt to new technology.
Future progression to Senior Manager is readily available for those demonstrating the right skill sets and ambition to want to lead the practice in the future.
