Office Manager

We are looking for an immediately available Office Manager with a passion for creating efficient, safe, and compliant workplaces to join our client in East Bristol. We are seeking a dynamic professional to join the team and oversee the smooth operation of their office environment.

This is initially an interim vacancy for 4-8 weeks, with the option to apply for the permanent role if so desired.

Fully Office based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Office Management: Lead and manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring a productive and organised workspace for all employees. Coordinate administrative support, manage office supplies, and oversee vendor relationships to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Facility Management: Take charge of maintaining a well-functioning office space. This includes overseeing repairs, maintenance, and liaising with service providers to ensure the office is in top condition. You will be responsible for space planning, and ensuring the workplace meets the needs of a growing team.
  • Health & Safety Oversight: Ensure the office complies with all health and safety regulations. Develop and implement health and safety policies, conduct regular risk assessments, and lead training sessions to promote a safe working environment. Handle incident reports and work to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Compliance Management: Stay updated with legal requirements related to office operations, facility management, and health and safety. Ensure all practices are compliant with regulations. Maintain records and documentation to support compliance audits and inspections.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager ideally with some facilities experience
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration
  • Demonstrates a calm manor, able to be flexible and adaptable in approach to work
