?? Key Responsibilities ??
As a School Caretaker, you will:
? Perform weekly fire alarm checks to ensure the safety of the premises.
?? Conduct regular light testing to maintain a well-lit environment.
?? Manage water systems and ensure their proper functioning.
?? Organise deliveries and maintain general site tidiness.
?? Monitor and maintain the fridge freezers for optimal performance.
�? Inspect and maintain playground equipment and ensure its safety.
�? Be responsible for garden maintenance, including mowing and weeding.
?? Perform safety checks on the school minibus.
?? Coordinate window cleaning tasks and ensure their completion.
? Manage outside contractors and their activities during out-of-hours periods.
?? Working Hours and Remuneration ??
This is a split-shift position, where you will be responsible for opening and closing the school. The total working hours are 35 hours per week. Our client offers an hourly rate starting from £13.15.
�? Requirements �?
To be considered for the School Caretaker position, you must have:
?? A valid DBS certificate, as this position involves working within a school setting and maintaining the safety of the premises.
�? Prior experience in site maintenance or a similar role, displaying your ability to carry out the required responsibilities.
?? Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
?? Strong communication skills to liaise with other staff members, outside contractors, and school management effectively.
?? The flexibility to work split shifts and occasionally outside of regular working hours.
