At Empowering Learning we work alongside a central London School, a vibrant and thriving school in South Kensington, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Premises Manager to join our dedicated team.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in ensuring our school facilities provide a safe, clean, and functional environment for students, staff, and the wider community. You will lead and oversee a team of cleaning staff and contractors, ensuring a high standard of maintenance and upkeep across the entire school site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the school premises, including cleaning, security, and minor maintenance.
  • Leading, motivating, and appraising the cleaning staff and contractors.
  • Managing health and safety procedures and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Liaising with staff and external contractors to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive inventory of school property and equipment.
  • Budgeting and managing resources effectively.
  • Contributing to the development of a positive and professional working environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in premises or facilities management, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety regulations.
  • The ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and work independently.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a dedication to teamwork.
  • A valid driving licence (desirable).
