At Empowering Learning we work alongside a central London School, a vibrant and thriving school in South Kensington, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Premises Manager to join our dedicated team.
About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in ensuring our school facilities provide a safe, clean, and functional environment for students, staff, and the wider community. You will lead and oversee a team of cleaning staff and contractors, ensuring a high standard of maintenance and upkeep across the entire school site.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the school premises, including cleaning, security, and minor maintenance.
- Leading, motivating, and appraising the cleaning staff and contractors.
- Managing health and safety procedures and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Liaising with staff and external contractors to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintaining a comprehensive inventory of school property and equipment.
- Budgeting and managing resources effectively.
- Contributing to the development of a positive and professional working environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in premises or facilities management, ideally within an educational setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A strong commitment to health and safety regulations.
- The ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and work independently.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a dedication to teamwork.
- A valid driving licence (desirable).
