The Management Accountant will support the Financial Controller with managing the outputs of the Accounting team, overseeing the delivery of all invoicing, credit control, payroll and benefits, as well as maintenance of financial records and ensuring PAYE and NI regulatory requirements are compliant.

Our client, a well-established organisation based in North Kent are seeking a Management Accountant to join them on a full time and permanent basis. The successful Management Accountant will be formally qualified, with demonstrable experience in management accounting and statutory accounting within a compliance focused environment.
This role offers a hybrid working pattern.
Description
Management Accountant duties include;
- Prepare monthly management accounts and perform a review with the Financial Controller
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with company procedures
- Review the payments and bank instructions for approval
- Review and approve annual Benefits returns, dispensation claims and pension contributions
- Prepare the corporation tax payments calculation and manage payments
- Review and approve the VAT, PAYE, NI, CT61 and R185 returns ahead of processing
- Prepare the treasury investment proposal for approval
- Undertake the review and approval of the monthly bank reconciliations
- Review and approve the payroll and pension contribution batch
- Manage the statutory audit process, liaising with auditors and compiling the statutory audit working papers for submission
- Prepare the draft annual statutory accounts for review and approval
- Process and update the annual operating budget and forecasts in the accounting system
Profile
The successful Management Accountant should have:
- A formal qualification is required (ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified)
- Management accounting and statutory accounting experience
- Experience working within a compliance focused environment
- Clearly communicate technically complex financial issues
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
