My Client is an architectural firm based in East London.
They seek an experienced bookkeeper to join their team in a sole position within the business.
This role will liaise closely with an external accountant but will report to a director the business.
The ideal candidate will have previous transactional finance experience in a sole role, using XERO accounting software.
Key responsibilities include:
- preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of financial records using the bookkeeping software XERO
- managing business planning spreadsheets
- preparing, with the directors, financial reviews and projections
- dealing with all company banking matters
- liaising with senior architectural staff to carry out job invoicing and costing linking to our project resources software
- liaising with our 3rd party payroll company
- administering our auto enrolment pension provision
- making and recording payments promptly
- dealing with the practice's VAT liabilities
- assisting in obtaining insurance proposals and ensuring all policies are renewed
- preparation of year-end documentation and figures for our accountants
- professional membership subscriptions and renewals
- managing employee expense claims
