Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Service Design and Transition Manager (SDTM) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Service Management with a proven track record of delivering successful Service Design and Transition projects.

As an SDTM, you will be responsible for designing and documenting new services, embedding service design principles into projects, and ensuring comprehensive support arrangements are established. You'll work closely with project teams, suppliers, and Enterprise Services teams to ensure smooth transitions to live service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and document new services that align with business needs, standards, and Enterprise Services capabilities.
  • Ensure services are proportionate, affordable, and span across multiple suppliers and platforms.
  • Oversee the transition of projects to live service in a safe, structured manner.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure successful onboarding of third-party suppliers.
  • Contribute to the Home Office's Service Architecture practice and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in Service Design and Transition in medium to large organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL-aligned Service Management.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management and third-party supplier onboarding.
  • Ability to work across multiple suppliers, platforms, and support structures.

Qualifications:

- ITIL Foundation qualification and at least two Intermediate ITIL modules, ideally in **Service Design** and **Service Transition**.
