Hays Senior Finance has been engaged by a FTSE organisation in Wiltshire to appoint a newly created position that is a blend of core financial accounting, insight and analysis to improve profitability, and provide leadership to two direct reports.
This role joins an established, talented and friendly wider team in a business that has gone from strength to strength and has exciting plans for the future - both strategic growth and internal change and development focused.
The role will include:
- Preparing monthly profit and loss, balance sheet and other financial documents,
- Planning cycles including 3YP, forecasting and budgeting,
- Ensuring integrity and accuracy of financial data and reporting,
- Weekly and monthly sales and margin analysis,
- Evaluating profitability and recommending areas for improvement,
- Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to senior management,
- Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers,
- Line management and development of qualified accountants.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) finance professional with post-qualification experience in a financial accounting or management accounting position within industry.
You'll need to be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and interpret financial data to non-financial managers, as well as motivate and effectively manage two qualified accountants.
