Atrium Healthcare are recruiting on behalf of a client for Community Support Workers (Supported Living). You would be joining a highly skilled and talented team rated as 'Outstanding' by the CQC.
The client offers two care and support services to adults with a learning disability - Respite Care and Supported Living.
Responsibilities:
- You will assist individuals with their personal care needs and budgeting, as well as support with menu planning, shopping, cooking and domestic tasks.
- You will also provide support in accessing facilities within the community, including leisure activities and in promoting independence.
- To provide a service to people with learning disabilities and others within the community.
- To support and develop the independence of service users.
- To work within the team and in partnership with others to ensure that this service is of a high standard.
- To undertake tasks with the users of the service which ensure their physical and emotional wellbeing.
- To help assess the needs of particular individuals and develop plans to meet those needs.
- To treat service users with dignity and respect at all times.
- To support service users to achieve their individual goals and aspirations.
- To take personal responsibility for own Health, Safety and Welfare and that of colleagues in the workplace and service users.
- To take personal responsibility for achieving value for money where appropriate.
Essential:
- NVQ in Care (Level 2) or Health and Social Care Diploma or Care Certificate.
- Having the use of a car, a full driving license and Business Class 1 Insurance is essential for this role.
